Hi-Shear Technology Corporation (NYSE Amex: HSR) today announced an amendment to its Form 10-K for fiscal year ended May 31, 2009.

The balance sheet for years ending May 31, 2009 and ending May 31, 2008 remain unchanged from their original filing. The Company is filing this Amendment to comply with new reporting requirements for the Company pertaining to Form 10-K. Form 10-K requires that both the current and previous years’ balance sheets be reported. The Company’s original Form 10-K included only the current year balance sheet, and this amendment is issued to show both fiscal years 2008 and 2009 to the 10-K report. To support the addition of the 2008 balance sheet, a report by the independent registered public accounting firm, Raimondo Pettit Group, is also included with this amendment.

This amendment also incorporates the new attachments to the 2009 reporting year 10-K. While the new attachments were originally filed with the 10-K report on August 5, 2009, they were not posted to the public website. This amendment will facilitate that public filing.
