Home Decorators Collection Names VendorNet 'Partner of the Year' for Driving Dropship Sales Growth and Service Excellence

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- VendorNet®, a supply chain collaboration solutions provider has received the Partner of the Year award from Home Decorators Collection, a division of Home Depot Direct, and one of the nation's premier direct sellers of merchandise for the home. Home Decorators implemented VendorNet Dropship Manager to automate order processing, invoicing, and shipping with its dropship vendors, and launched VendorNet Inventory Manager to provide online visibility to dropship inventory levels and automated inventory updates directly to its e-commerce site.

Christopher Ellis, Director, Inventory Management at Home Decorators Collection comments, "As a direct result of implementing VendorNet Dropship and Inventory Manager, we have reduced open orders by 50 percent while growing the penetration of our dropship business by 6 percentage points to 19 percent of total sales. We have over 100 direct ship vendors live with this technology, and we are monitoring stock levels on 50,000 skus electronically as compared to previously monitoring less than 2,000 manually. Visibility to stock levels and automated updates to our e-commerce site resulted in a dramatic improvement in customer service, and directly lowered order cancel rates. VendorNet also manages the invoicing process so we have seen significant savings in manpower and money in our finance department. Our vendors are benefiting as well with increased sales, faster payments, and decreased return fees."

Each year, Home Decorators Collection acknowledges one non-merchant partner that has contributed the most to helping Home Decorators improve its business. This includes not only tangible bottom line benefits, but also the ease in which it is able to work with the partner including support services, and relationship management. The Partner of the Year is selected by Home Decorators' general managers and directors, and merchant, planning, finance, IT and marketing teams. VendorNet was selected over 30 other candidate partners for providing the most dramatic improvement in generating new business - growing direct ship sales from 13 percent to 19 percent of Home Decorators' business.

Ellis also indicated VendorNet's professional implementation and training services, and exceptional customer support contributed to VendorNet's Partner of the Year selection.

VendorNet Dropship Manager and Inventory Manager are part of the VendorNet Commerce Suite of supply chain collaboration software products that electronically integrate retailers with their suppliers. VendorNet Dropship Manager provides real-time communication of critical order, fulfillment, shipping, and invoicing information, as well as vendor compliance and performance reporting. VendorNet Inventory Manager provides online visibility to supplier inventory levels as they pertain to the retailer. Dropship inventory levels can be integrated with a retailer's host order management system and e-commerce platforms to augment service center information, and provide an intelligence base for business planning and forecasting.

"We are honored to have been selected as Home Decorators Collection's Partner of the Year," states Sharon Gardner, President of VendorNet. "Our goal is to instill a collaborative environment through our technology and services that fosters a relationship for business growth for our clients and their vendors."
