ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI) was awarded a new, five-year contract valued at more than $7 million with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Under this task order contract with SAMHSA, ICF is combining its strategic communications capabilities along with those of the company’s recently acquired subsidiary, Macro International (ICF Macro), to assist the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP) in creating and delivering messages that emphasize the positive aspects of substance abuse prevention. ICF will convey that prevention works, is cost-efficient, and that through prevention we can make positive changes one community at a time. ICF will play an integral part in advancing prevention communications to selected target audiences, thereby reducing the impact of risk factors for substance abuse.
