Top Contributor: I B | Created when NYSE:ITT was $41.95 | Edit | History
In 2007 it was all over the news and web that ITT had produced equipment that was faulty, unqualified personel and so on. When the truth was that the findings that was being broadcast in the news and web was in fact an inspection conducted in 2005 when the contract began. In the 3 years that I have been with ITT, the quality and quatity has improved and increased. We all take pride in or work that we do, and it shows in what we send out. I would like to know how accurate are these recent findings.
BS reply from competitor....If the DOJ and FBI investigation of ITT show that ITT violated it's 5-year probation agreement, which had the purpose of putting a debarrment on hold, ITT could be looking at losing $7 Billion in Government contracts from it's defense sector.
It is hard to understand how a responsible Government Contracting Officers and the Generals that oversee them, can allow a company that has been convicted of 2 felonies, to be awarded any new business. I guess the Federal Government is still gambling with taxpayer money and are ignoring this.
