Iamgold conducts economic assessment of Westwood project; expects 20,000 ounces of Gold Iamgold Corp. announced that it expects production of 20,000 ounces of gold annually from the Westwood project for about 15 years. The production is expected to start in 2012. The pre-production capital expenditure is approximately $316 million, while the total operating costs are $360 per ounce of gold.
