Electricity Meters

Metering products are critical components of an electric utility’s distribution infrastructure and, as such, meter purchases for new construction and normal meter replacements are typically not affected by factors that influence overall utility capital spending. Meter Data Collection

In addition to the approximately 150 million electricity meters, there are approximately 75 million gas meters and 80 million water meters in the United States and Canada. The compounded annual growth rate for AMR in North America averaged 15% from 2001 through 2006. The annual growth rate has ranged from a peak of 31% in 2001, a reduction of 7% in 2004 and growth of 21% in 2006. The development of AMI technology could impact this growth in future periods.

Software

These competitors offer a broad range of electricity meters for both residential and C&I use, and some also offer AMR technology.
