Stillwell Financial (NYSE: SV), the financial services holding firm, merged with its subsidiary, Denver-based Janus Capital Group Inc., on Jan. 1, 2003. The new company, Janus Capital Group (NYSE: JNS), owns Janus and Berger mutual funds.
