In the past 3 quarters, margins have fluctuated between 13 and 25%, compared to Coke, Pepsi, Hansen, etc. who enjoy 50% margins.
This, combined with revenues that aren't relatively outrageous, makes it very hard for me to believe that they can turn this into a profitable operation.
Because they have no margins, the premium marketing that they pride themselves on to portray the product as a premium drink makes it very hard to turn a net profit.
To be entirely honest, over the past 10 years, they've burned through 11M overall. That doesn't make any sense to me and so I have to question why they continue to operate, the company is worth more if they shut down everything rather than continue to run it like this.
They laid off 42 people in October and a week or two ago they removed another 10 people, but I'm not sure that will be enough to turn this company around. With revenues dropping, no margins to rely on, and layoffs not happening fast enough to stay in line with revenues, I don't see this company surviving.
Jones Soda really should just cease operation and give out what's left of the company to shareholders.
