LDK Solar, Solar PV sign five-year deal LDK Solar has signed a five-year contract to supply multicrystalline solar wafers to China-based Jiangxi Solar PV Corp. (JSPV). LDK will deliver approximately 70 MW of multicrystalline solar wafers to JSPV LDK buys crucible-manufacturer LDK announced that it would acquire 33.5% of Jiangxi Sinoma New Material Co. Ltd, a Chinese manufacturer of the crucibles needed to produce multicrystalline wafers. The possibility that the acquisition would help cut down on production and logistics costs drove the price of LDK's shares up.
