As part of our strategy to expand our production capacity overseas, in November 2009, we signed an investment agreement and a joint venture agreement with the City of Guangzhou, China, to build an eighth-generation panel fabrication facility in China. Our investment amount in the joint venture company is (Won)1,110 billion. This proposed venture, including its total investment amount, remains subject to approval by the Korean government.

In August 2008, the Company and Taiwans AmTRAN entered into an agreement to set up a joint venture company in China to produce LCD modules and TV sets, and, in October 2008, established Suzhou Raken Technology Ltd. The Company agreed to invest a total of USD10.41 million for a 51% equity interest in the joint venture, and, as of the date of this report, the Company has invested a total of USD9.91 million in the joint venture. The joint ventures board of directors consists of 4 directors with each party entitled to nominate 2 directors.
