AMPCO owns a methanol plant located in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea. Feedstock for the plant is supplied from our natural gas production from the Alba field. Sales of methanol from the plant totaled 792,794 metric tonnes in 2008. Production from the plant is used to supply customers in Europe and the United States.
