Organization The Hand Held Products Group (the Business) is a single segment business that designs, manufactures, and markets applications and communications processors for cellular phones, personal digital assistants, and other personal devices. The Business markets and sells products throughout the world. The Business was a division of Intel Corporation (Intel), operating within the Wireless Communications and Computing Group for the year ended December 27, 2003, within the Intel Communications Group for the year ended December 25, 2004, and within the Mobility Group for the year ended December 31, 2005. The Business has a 52- or 53-week fiscal year that ends on the last Saturday in December. Fiscal year 2005, a 53-week year, ended on December 31. Fiscal year 2004 was a 52-week year that ended on December 25 and fiscal year 2003, also a 52-week year, ended on December 27. The six-month periods ended July 1, 2006 and July 2, 2005, represented 26 and 27-week periods respectively. The U.S. dollar is the functional currency for the Business.
