As previously reported, following months of informal discussions with the Food and Drug Administration (the FDA), on November 16, 2009, Matrixx Initiatives, Inc. (the Company) filed a response to the FDAs June 16, 2009 warning letter regarding the Companys nasal cold remedy products. In that response, the Company requested, among other things, that the FDA withdraw the warning letter. See the Companys Report on Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 19, 2009. On March 5, 2010, the FDA reaffirmed its original position and denied the Companys request. The Company is currently evaluating its options.
