2008 Base Salaries

After consideration of the FPL engagement, each component of compensation, and the average salary increase company-wide, the Compensation Committee increased the executive officers base salaries to the levels indicated in the above table. For Messrs. Bolton, Campbell, Grimes and Wadsworth, this represented an increase of 4% from 2007 base salaries, which the Compensation Committee felt was in line with the increases received by our general employee base. Mr. Taylor received a 7% increase over his 2007 base salary as the Compensation Committee felt the information obtained by the FPL engagement showed his base salary was more out of line with his peers than the other executive officers.
