The Ring of Fire ProjectNoront Resources controls more than 1.100 sq kms of exploration assets in the James Bay Lowlands, Ontario and staked further land in the area through joint ventures. The occurence of the metals is related to ultramafic intrusions and their feeder system along the margin of a granodiorite pluton. Key Trends and Forces
Commodity PricesNickel and Chrome which are the main metals identified in the current exploration state are ingredients of stainless steel. Stainless steel products are high quality materials and demand is rising with the wealth of emerging economies.[6] [7]
Mine DevelopmentThe companies future value depends on the results of further drilling and the completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study (BFS).
Any future mining in the Ring of Fire area is going to depend on approvals and the investment in road infrastructure.[8] Further companies are exploring within the area and any success would provide a synergy to fund infrastructure.
The companies available cash is not sufficient to establish infrastructure and a mine. Capital raising, bank loans or other funding will be required after a successful completion of a Bankable Feasibility Study.
