For PG&E Corporation registered shareholders, the shares that you are entitled to vote represent all the shares of PG&E Corporation common stock in your account as of the close of business on March 16, 2009, including shares in the PG&E Corporation Dividend Reinvestment and Stock Purchase Plan. For Pacific Gas and Electric Company registered shareholders, the shares that you are entitled to vote represent all the shares of Pacific Gas and Electric Company preferred stock in your account as of the close of business on March 16, 2009. If you are a registered shareholder of both PG&E Corporation common stock and Pacific Gas and Electric Company preferred stock, you are entitled to vote separately for each company. If you receive more than one copy of the Notice of Annual Meeting and Internet Availability of Proxy Materials or more than one proxy card for either company, it means that your shares are held in more than one account. You should vote the shares in all of your accounts. |
