SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/25/11 -- Pericom Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: PSEM), a worldwide preferred supplier of complete solutions in high-speed switching, timing and signal-conditioning ICs, today announced expansion of its Applications Specific Crystal Oscillator (ASSP XO™) family with a new line of ASSP Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillators (VCXO) products. These solutions cater to the growing telecom infrastructure, broadband access and Ethernet markets, and are immediately available for popular frequencies.

These systems require typical phase noise at 1 KHz offset to be less than -120dB, phase jitter from 12 KHz to 20 MHz offset to be typically less than 0.3ps RMS, and pull range to exceed +/-100ppm, providing wider frequency adjustment to the input frequency variation. Meeting these critical performance parameters provides systems with very low bit error rate and increased reliability while meeting wireless noise compliance requirements.
