Depositary bank for Petrobras shares

Rio de Janeiro, July 10, 2009 – PETRÓLEO BRASILEIRO S/A - PETROBRAS, informs that Banco do Brasil S.A. was selected, trough a bid process, to act as depositary bank for Petrobras shares. As result, Banco do Brasil, which currently provides this service since 2004, will remain as depositary bank for more five years, as from September 1st, 2009.

For the American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) traded in the New York Stock Exchange – NYSE, not considered in this bid process, the depositary bank is still JPMorgan Chase Bank.
