International oil production by the consolidated companies fell due to the reduction in reservoir pressure in the United States, plus lower output from the mature fields in Argentina and Angola. Gas production decreased due to the natural decline in the U.S. wells caused by reduced reservoir pressure.
International production was jeopardized by the 25-day strike in the Cuenca Austral field in Argentina and the diminished pressure in oil and gas reservoirs in the United States.
