Printronix Hires Former Palm Inc. Executive as New Vice President of Global Operations

IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 09/23/10 -- Printronix Inc., a leading industrial and business printing solutions manufacturer, today announced the appointment of former Palm Inc. executive Sen-Yuan (Sandy) Ro. He joins the Printronix executive team with more than 25 years of experience in the electronics industry and 14 years in senior management roles. In his new position, Ro will be responsible for overseeing Printronix's global supply chain and worldwide manufacturing locations in California, China, Holland, Mexico and Singapore. Ro replaces C. Victor Fitzsimmons, who served as the senior vice president of worldwide operations and led the company through much of its global expansion since 1985.

Prior to joining Printronix, Ro worked for Palm, where he was the vice president of strategic sourcing and manufacturing operations. While in this position, he managed manufacturing operations, original design manufacturing/electronic manufacturing services, vendor relationship management, strategic sourcing and operations program management. Previously, Ro was the senior vice president and co-chief operations officer at Compal Electronics Inc., the No. 1 notebook PC original design manufacturer in Taipei, Taiwan. While there, he led the initiatives to improve operational performance, including quality, productivity, capacity utilization and cost. Ro also has general management, manufacturing operations, customer services and supply chain management experience from companies including PRTM, Fortinet,Inc. and Solectron Corp.
