Item 7.01. Regulation FD Disclosure.

Joseph J. Euteneuer, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Qwest Communications International Inc. (“Qwest” or the “Company” or “we” or “us” or “our”), today responded to a story that had earlier ran on a national newswire indicating that the Company’s capital expenditures in 2010 would be flat with 2009 levels.  Mr. Euteneuer indicated that the Company has not yet set its capital budget for 2010, and that the Company is therefore not in a position to compare its anticipated 2009 capital expenditures to capital expenditures that will occur in 2010.  He further indicated that the Company would disclose its expectations for 2010 upon completion of its budgeting process and in conjunction with issuing its full-year 2009 results.
