RAD To Pay $5 Million in Civil Penalties Rite-Aid and subsidiaries in 9 states will pay $5 million to settle allegations of their violation of the Controlled Substances Act. The primary thrust of the allegations concerned refillment of prescription without legitimate medical cause. RAD's 3Q results lower than expected RAD announced 3Q results which were below analyst estimates and the company forecasted bigger full-year losses than initially expected.
