(TSX: SJR.B) (NYSE: SJR) announced today that it has determined the redemption price for its U.S.$300 million 7.20% Senior Notes due December 15, 2011. As previously announced, the redemption date for the foregoing senior notes is October 20, 2009.

The Redemption Price (as defined in the indentures governing the notes) is US$1,149.46 per senior note, which includes US$25.00 in accrued interest to the redemption date.
