Ltd.,from Seoul, South Korea, was incorporated in 2001. 12 subsidiaries offer products and services through 12 business lines: Shinhan Bank, Good Morning Shinhan Securities, SHinhan Capital, Shinhan Credit Information, Shinhan Insurance, Shinahan Card, Shinhan Life Insurnace, Jeju Bank, Shinhan Private Equity and two joint ventures Shinhan BNP Paribas ITMC and Shinhan Macquarie Financial Advisory. Shinhan Financial Group's mission is to provide "One Portal" for all financial services to compete in the global market for South Korean customers. Shinhan maintains a North American Regional Headquarters in New York City with depository bank branches in New York and California. It also maintains a securities and investment management office in New York City. It is called Shinhan Investments America Inc.

Shinhan Bank owns Shinhan Data System, Shinhan Asset Management Co., Shinhan Asia Ltd., Shinhan Bank America, Shinhan Bank Europe, Shinhan Vina Bank, Shinhan Khmer Bank Limited, CHB Valuemeet (which has 3 SPCs), Shinhan Kazakhstan Bank, Shinhan Bank China Limited, AITAS, and Shinhan Finance LTD in Hong Kong.

Within Shinhan Card is Shinha-KTF Mobile Card.

Good Morning Shinhan Securities has subsidiaries in Europe, USA and Asia.

Shinhan Private Equity was established in 2004 with funds provided by National Pension Service (South Korea), of which Shinhan owns a 5% stake in.
