SIRI » Topics » Higher than expected subscriber acquisition costs or subscriber turnover could adversely affect our financial performance and operating results. This excerpt taken from the SIRI 10-K filed Mar 16, 2005. Higher than expected subscriber acquisition costs or subscriber turnover could adversely affect our financial performance and operating results. We are spending substantial funds on advertising and marketing and in transactions with automakers, radio manufacturers, retailers and others to obtain and attract subscribers. If the costs of attracting subscribers are greater than expected, our financial performance and operating results will be adversely affected. We are experiencing, and expect to experience in the future, some subscriber turnover, or churn. We cannot predict the amount of churn we will experience or how successful we will be at retaining subscribers. High subscriber turnover, or our inability to attract customers to our service, would adversely affect our financial performance and operating results. |
