St. Ives plc is a supplier of printed products and related services to media and commercial markets. The Company has operations in United Kingdom, United States and continental Europe. Its markets fall into three segments: Media Products and Commercial Products. Media Products are supplied to book, magazine and music publishers, as well as film and computer games software companies, mainly in the United Kingdom. Products supplied under this segment include books, magazines and multimedia. Commercial Products are mainly supplied not for resale to commercial and governmental organizations. Products and services offered by commercial services include direct Response and commercial print, financial, point-of-sale and exhibitions and events. On November 6, 2006, it acquired the whole of the issued share capital of Services Graphics Limited. In January 2007, St Ives Financial, the financial print division of St. Ives plc, was acquired by Bowne & Co. Inc.
