The Standard’s 2009 Employee Giving Campaign Raises $1.3 Million for Nonprofits

During their 2009 Employee Giving Campaign, employees at The Standard pledged more than $675,000, benefiting nearly 700 local and national nonprofit organizations. After a dollar-for-dollar match by The Standard, the total from the 2009 campaign exceeded $1.3 million.

“The Employee Giving Campaign is an extension of what our business does every day: helping people when they need it most,” said J. Greg Ness, president and CEO of The Standard.

More than 900 current and retired employees pledged support during the campaign. In addition to pledges, proceeds from fundraising events such as a Variety Show and an on-line auction helped The Standard surpass an ambitious campaign goal of $550,000.
