Basel, 13 January 2006 Syngenta announced today the successful agreement of the salary negotiations 2006 for the Basel, Dielsdorf, Kaisten, Münchwilen, Schweizerhalle and Stein sites. The salary negotiations at Syngenta for employees covered by an individual or collective employment agreement took place with the employee representatives in an open and constructive atmosphere. Following intensive negotiations, agreement was jointly reached to increase the total salary sum by 2.3% on an individual basis with effect from 1 April 2006. Syngenta is a world-leading agribusiness committed to sustainable agriculture through innovative research and technology. The company is a leader in crop protection, and ranks third in the high-value commercial seeds market. Sales in 2004 were approximately $7.3 billion.
