One future competitive advantage is expected to be the ability to develop partnerships to allow delivery of biotechnology traits to the target market sectors. In the future, Syngenta’s move into new markets may result in other companies becoming competitors. In the animal feed market, for example, major companies include DSM, Novozymes, Danisco and BASF.
