Earnings
per share, excluding restructuring and impairment, rose 36 percent to
$16.53. Excluding non-recurring income in 2007, earnings per share
rose by 41 percent. The increase was driven by higher operating
income. After charges for restructuring and impairment, earnings per
share were $15.93 (2007: $12.43, including non-recurring
income).
