Dispositions Upon a sale or other taxable disposition of Syngenta shares or Syngenta ADRs, a United States holder will generally recognize gain or loss in an amount equal to the difference between the amount realized on the disposition and the United States holders tax basis in the Syngenta shares or Syngenta ADRs. Such gain or loss will be capital gain or loss, and will be long-term capital gain or loss if the Syngenta shares or Syngenta ADRs were held for more than one year at the time of disposition. A long-term capital gain of a non-corporate U.S. Holder is generally taxed at a maximum rate of
