Middle East increased by 14%, due in part to the weakness of the US dollar and at constant exchange rates were 5% higher due to volume growth. Sales grew across all product lines with notable contributions from the entire fungicide range and selective herbicides, particularly CALLISTO®. Double-digit increases were achieved in France and Eastern Europe, the latter benefiting from increased investment in agriculture and economic growth.
