TAM is a leading airline in the domestic market, with a 49.1% market share as of December 31, 2006 in RPKs according to data from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The company offers flights throughout Brazil, serving the largest number of destinations in the country, and operates scheduled passenger and cargo air transport routes to 48 cities with an additional 26 domestic destinations through regional alliances with other airlines. The company also directly serves twelve international destinations and provides connections to other destinations in the US, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Middle East through commercial agreements with several international airlines. TAM has a fleet of over 100 leased aircraft, consisting primarily of Airbus models A330, A320, and A319, as well as Fokker model 100 aircraft. For many years, the company has demonstrated a history of sustained growth and a proven ability to adapt to the various stages in the Brazilian civil aviation industry, which is the fourth largest aviation market in the world.
