- SOA: SOA software enables organizations to migrate their IT infrastructures to SOA by turning information and functions into discrete and reusable components that can be invoked from across the business and aggregated with other such services to create "composite applications." This helps companies streamline the integration and orchestration of assets across technological, organizational and geographical boundaries.
- BPM: BPM software enables the automation and coordination of the assets and tasks that make up business processes. This software can coordinate the human and electronic resources inside a business and its network of customers and partners.
- Business optimization: This software automatically routes information to appropriate recipients, allows users access to up-to-date information whenever they need it, and provides users with the ability to analyze and act on information. It also tracks large volumes of real-time events as they occur and applies sophisticated rules in order to identify patterns that signify problems, threats and opportunities, and can automatically initiate appropriate notifications or adaptation of processes.
- MDM: MDM software enables organizations to align enterprise master data (such as product, service, customer or vendor data) across multiple systems and departments, as well as with customers and trading partners. Our software also enables organizations to ensure that the necessary processes, policies and procedures are put in place to support the continuous addition, deletion and modification of information. - TIBCO Software (TIBX), on 17th Feb announced its beefed-up ActiveMatrix 2.0, which aims to simplify building and managing service-oriented architectures (SOAs).
This latest release adds BusinessWorks, which is available either in standalone mode or as a container hosted in the ActiveMatrix infrastructure, and Service Bus, a new lightweight enterprise service bus [ESB], that helps integrate services while using content or context-based routing.

TIBCO faces strong competitions from larger software companies, such as International Business Machines (IBM), Microsoft (MSFT), Oracle (ORCL), and SAP AG (SAP). It also competes with smaller software vendors of its size, that have similar product lines, such as BEA Systems (BEAS) and Sybase (SY). [2]
