Environmental Capital Expenditures

Capital expenditures for EFH Corp.’s environmental projects totaled $191 million in 2008 and are expected to total approximately $175 million in 2009 consisting primarily of environmental projects at existing lignite/coal-fueled generation plants. These amounts are exclusive of emissions control equipment investment planned as part of the three-unit generation development program, which is expected to total up to $500 million over the construction period.
