Timken and Union Agree on Proposed Contract

The Timken Company and the United Steel Workers (USW) Local 1123 today
announced they have reached agreement on a new four-year contract. The
current contract was extended until October 31, 2009 to allow time for a
ratification vote later this month.
“Both the company and the union worked hard toward a contract that is
good for our customers, our associates and the community," said Sal
Miraglia, president of Timken’s Steel Group.
Timken has 2,300 associates covered by the agreement at the company's
facilities in Canton, Ohio.
