Toyota has commenced and is working towards realizing both of these visions. However, further advancement of “Zeronize” and “Maximize” requires the active deployment of the intelligent transport systems in coordination with roads and other infrastructure, in addition to the technology of the vehicle itself. Toyota is proceeding with the development and commercialization of the intelligent transport systems from two perspectives, which are, increasing vehicle functionality and enhancing transport systems.
