Medium- and Long-term Management Strategy To continue its growth over the long-term, the Toyota Group will make combined efforts to address the following agenda. The immediate agenda in Japan include the continued introduction of the Lexus brand, and the reinforcement of sales network through further clarification of the channel identities of Toyota, Toyopet, Corolla, and Netz dealer channels. Overseas, in North America, Europe, Asia, and other regions, Toyota Group is working diligently towards the successful commencement of production at new plants, and through further development of the foundation of production, purchasing, and sales structures, and promotes corporate activities that are rooted in the local regions. Medium- to long-term strategies include, first of all, focus on development of cutting-edge technologies and their use in products to continue providing customers around the world with products that are environmentally-friendly, safe, comfortable, and attractive. Second, the entire Toyota Group is making concerted efforts to maintain and improve the worlds highest levels of quality and strengthen our cost competitiveness, and builds optimal business structures in order to achieve a balance between growth and efficiency. In addition, Toyota strives to be a company with energy and dignity that fulfills its social responsibilities by carrying out corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities through philanthropic activities undertaken from a global perspective and thorough corporate ethics including full compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The origin of corporate competitiveness is the development of human resources, and Toyota is training the highly-creative personnel that will pass on Toyotas manufacturing technologies, skills and values to the next generation. By addressing these agenda, Toyota is working to enhance its corporate value as a company that can compete successfully on a global scale and maintain growth in harmony with society rooted in manufacturing over 21st century.
