Travelzoo Surpasses 18 Million Subscribers

Travelzoo (NASDAQ: TZOO), a global Internet media company, today announced it has surpassed the 18 million subscriber mark for its global publications.

Travelzoo now boasts more than 11 million total subscribers to the U.S. Top 20 newsletter, and over 1 million subscribers north of the border in Canada. The Canadian newsletter has seen a 43 percent increase in the past year, equal to 300,000 new subscribers.

In Europe, Travelzoo Spain has seen an incredible jump in subscribers, with a 172 percent increase since the beginning of the year. Travelzoo U.K. has surpassed 1.5 million subscribers, growing by 38 percent since January. France and Germany have also attracted more fans, with growth rates of 25 percent and 62 percent, respectively. Travelzoo’s European division publishes its weekly Top 20 newsletter and Newsflash e-mail alerts to subscribers in the U.K., Germany, France and Spain.

In Asia Pacific, subscribers to the Top 20 in Japan have jumped to 600,000, a 116 percent increase over the past nine months.
