On October 31, 2012, Unum Group (“Unum Group” or the “Company”), a Delaware corporation, issued a news release reporting its results for the third quarter of 2012, a copy of which is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
