U.S. Department of the Treasury Seized & Forfeited General Property Program

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- VSE Corporation and Rick Levin & Associates, Inc. will conduct an auction of seized and forfeited property on behalf of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Other agencies that are participating include: U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Immigration & Customs Enforcement, Internal Revenue Service and Secret Service. Proceeds from the auction are returned to these agencies through the Treasury Asset Forfeiture Fund for the continuation of their enforcement efforts.

The auction will take place at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at the VSE Warehouse, in Riverside, CA. This is the first of two auctions, that combined will be the largest quantity of coins ever auctioned by VSE & Rick Levin, including:

    --  Twenty-five 1 Ounce Gold Coins (Maple Leaf, U.S. Buffaloes, South
        African Krugerrand)
    --  2,000 Ounces of .999 Silver
    --  1971-1974 Eisenhower Silver Dollars

    --  U.S. Proof & Commemorative Sets

The property was forfeited by a coin store owner who is serving 37 years in prison for drug trafficking, possession of illegal guns and money laundering. Other property that will be auctioned from this coin store includes:

Main previews of these items will take place at the VSE Riverside Warehouse located at 6681 River Run Road, Riverside, CA 92507 on Monday, August 24, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, August 25, from 9 a.m. to noon. Bidders may also register for the auction during these preview times. Registration begins at 8 a.m. day of sale. There are no property previews on sale day.
