Versar, Inc. Announces the Promotions of Peter J. Cooper and Daniel J. Cummings to Senior Vice President
Versar, Inc. (NYSE AMEX:VSR) today announced that Peter J. Cooper and
Daniel J. Cummings have been promoted to Senior Vice President for
Versar Inc.
Mr. Cooper joined Versar in April 2008 as Vice President and General
Manager of Versar’s GEOMET subsidiary and has increased GEOMET’s revenue
and profit in its three core competencies, Lab Services, Personal
Protective Equipment, and Outsourced T&E Services to the U.S.
Government. Versar expects to further expand GEOMET’s revenue and profit
line to become a solid contributor to its future performance. Prior to
joining Versar, Mr. Cooper was President of Racal’s Health and Safety
Group in the United Kingdom with sales of over $150 million.
Mr. Cummings is in charge of the company’s United States Engineering and
Construction Division and has been instrumental in establishing Versar’s
growing telecommunications initiative and the company’s U.S. based
engineering and construction business. Mr. Cummings brings over 25 years
of leadership and management experience from the Department of Defense.
Prior to joining Versar in November, 2008, Mr. Cummings served as the
Executive Director of the Military Programs Directorate in the U.S. Army
Corps of Engineers’ Headquarters. He retired from the U.S. Army as a
Colonel.
