These excerpts taken from the GWW 10-K filed Feb 27, 2008. Decision Upon Review of Denial of Claim for Benefits. The Committee shall render a decision on the claim review promptly, but no more than sixty (60) days after the receipt of the claimants request for review, unless special circumstances (such as the need to hold a hearing) require an extension of time, in which case the sixty (60)-day period shall be extended to one hundred twenty (120) days. Such decision shall:
(a) include specific reasons for the decision,
(b) be written in a manner calculated to be understood by the claimant, and
(c) contain specific references to the relevant Plan provisions upon which the decision is based.
