Although WPO's newspaper and magazine businesses are struggling, its education segment is booming- in 2007, the education division increased by 21% in terms of sales, as the company continues to expand its Kaplan business. Furthermore, the education segment accounted for almost 50% of WPO's 2007 revenue and 31% of its operating income. This is good for WPO as its largest business segment is also its most healthy.
