The Federal Reserve Selects The Williams Capital Group for the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF)

NEW YORK, Sept. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Williams Capital Group, L.P., (WCG), one of the leading boutique investment banking firms in the U.S. that provides debt and equity underwriting and corporate finance advisory services, announced today it has been selected by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York for the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF) program. In its capacity of TALF agent, WCG will have the authority to facilitate the arrangement of loans for eligible borrowers that wish to purchase TALF eligible securities on a non-recourse leveraged basis. WCG expects to perform these activities in conjunction with its participation as an active underwriter on TALF-eligible asset securitization financings.

"We are honored to have been selected by the Federal Reserve Bank of NY to serve as a TALF agent and look forward to playing a meaningful role in continuing the successful operation of this important program," says Christopher Williams, CEO of Williams Capital Group.

About The Federal Reserve for the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility (TALF) program

The TALF program was designed to transform the securitization markets by providing financing to investors to support their purchases of certain AAA-rated asset-backed securities (ABS). These markets have historically been a critical component of lending in our financial system, but they have been virtually shuttered since the worsening of the financial crisis in October. By reopening these markets, the TALF will assist lenders in meeting the borrowing needs of consumers and small businesses, helping to stimulate the broader economy.
