WellCare Health Plans, Inc. (NYSE: WCG) today announced that Scott D.
Law, formerly national health care delivery officer for Health Net,
Inc., has joined the Company as senior vice president, health care
delivery, effective October 28, 2009. In his role, Mr. Law will lead
WellCare’s pharmacy, quality management, care management, and network
management functions.

Schiesser, president and chief executive officer of WellCare. “Scott
brings extensive experience in developing and driving a national
strategy for network management and contracting, which will be valuable
in our efforts to ensure member access to quality care and disciplined
medical cost management.”

Mr. Law brings more than 20 years experience in health care. As
previously noted, prior to joining WellCare, Mr. Law served Health Net,
first as its national chief network officer and later as its national
health care delivery officer. Mr. Law’s previous experience includes
roles with CIGNA Corporation, Humana and several Florida hospitals.
Mr. Law is a graduate of the Executive Development Program, Haas School
of Business at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his
Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Health
Services Management from Florida Tech and his Bachelor of Science,
Business Management, from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
