After two years of overtures, Nelson Peltz's Triac (operator of the Arby's chain) acquired Wendy's for approximately $2.4B. The new company will have more than 10,000 locations and $12.5B in annual revenue. This new found heft will give the company leverage to better handle increasing costs.
