In addition, our information technologies and systems are vulnerable to damage or interruption from various causes, including: (i) acts of God and other natural disasters, war and acts of terrorism; (ii) power losses, computer systems failures, Internet and telecommunications or data network failures, operator error, losses of and corruption of data and similar events; and (iii) computer viruses, penetration by individuals seeking to disrupt operations or misappropriate information and other physical or electronic breaches of security. We maintain certain disaster recovery capabilities for critical functions in most of our businesses, including certain disaster recovery services from SunGard Data Systems Inc. and International Business Machines Corporation. We are also currently in the process of adding disaster recovery capabilities to our recently acquired franchise and management businesses of Wyndham Hotels and Resorts and portions of our vacation ownership business. However, there can be no assurance that these capabilities will successfully prevent a disruption to or material adverse effect on our businesses or operations in the event of a disaster or other business interruption. Any extended interruption in our technologies or systems could significantly curtail our ability to conduct our business and generate revenue.
