ITEM 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition
Elkin, NC — April 22, 2010 — Yadkin Valley Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: YAVY), the holding company for Yadkin Valley Bank and Trust Company, announced financial results for the first quarter of 2010. Net income available to common shareholders for the first quarter of 2010 totaled $143,000 or $0.01 per diluted share. This compares to net income of $3.2 million or $0.20 per diluted share in the fourth quarter of 2009, and a net loss of $4.6 million, or $0.40 per diluted share, in the first quarter of 2009
