I do think using the phrase "blank check company" does not give the reader a good idea of what is going on. Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC)might be a little better. Actually I think this article should be reformated as concept around SPACs and include APP in a list of recent SPACS. A company that has done nada probably does not deserve its own listing.

The SPAC aquired american apperal that was the old info from google or yahoo or somesuch. one day I hope someone would write a better one. American apperal is a live company, traded on AMEX. - JOeConyers
